DIRECTORS

JOHN LEACH                                                 Parkfields
John is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. He has spent 30 years as Chairman, CEO or CFO of a number of public companies. John recently retired as CEO of Hermes Asset Management. He has lived in the area for 20 years and on the Crown Estate for 5 years. John is married with two teenage children.

MICHAEL PERKINS                                     Fairoak Close
Michael Perkins and his family have lived in Fairoak Close on the ‘North side’ of the Estate for the past 17 years. The last seven year’s Michael has served on the Board as Director with responsibility for the managing agents HE&S. Michael is a Chartered Surveyor and his many interests include sport, in particular football. He is Director of Youth Football at the local football club, Oxshott Royals .

NICK PIKE                                                      Princes Drive                since 1996
Nick is 53 years old and married to Jennifer with whom he has four children between the ages of 8 and 16. The Pike family have lived in Princes’ Drive on the Crown Estate for nearly 16 years. Nick spent the majority of his career in the Technology Industry with Xerox Corporation and Dell Computer Corporation. Since 2000 Nick has been a Director of several companies including a 3 year spell as Managing Director of Hampshire Cricket. Nick has taken on the role of being in charge of a team of residents who have been responsible for an upgrade of the signage on the entire Estate. They are currently working on a more appropriate entrance to the South Side of the Estate.  He believes that when compared to many other estates within Elmbridge, the Crown Estate roads and landscape fall short. His aim is to rectify this situation.

NIGEL SCANDRETT                                 Spicers Field                since 2007
Nigel Scandrett, 64, came to the Crown Estate in 2007. He was Chairman of Coombe Park Ltd, a private road off Kingston Hill, that had many of the challenges that the Estate faces today. He oversaw fund raising, road and environmental improvements and the instillation of a community spirit that made all of that possible. He has been Captain and Chairman of the Coombe Wood Golf Club where he plays off a competitive 22 handicap. He has also chaired the NPL Hockey Club where he still plays regular hockey amongst other pairs of ageing legs. He is the co-owner and acts as the Sales & Marketing Director of the Thames Luxury Charters Group, who own one of the largest fleets of private charter riverboats on the Thames. He is a keen racehorse owner and breeder. All this is suffered by his partner, Jackie and his two sons, John (19) and Stuart (15). Since 2009 he has been in his position of Director of Roads for the Estate in charge of a multi million pound redevelopment rolling programme to upgrade all the roads and verges of the Estate.

ROBERT SEAR                                                Birds Hill Rise
Robert has been a Crown Estate resident for 19 years and a director for 7 years.  He is the legal director of BHOEC and was responsible for the recent redrafting of the Memorandum Articles and Bye-laws. He is a lawyer and Partner in a Central London law firm and specialises in corporate and partnership issues.

ROGER WHITTAKER                                 Spicers Field
Chartered Accountant, MBA (University of Chicago).  Retired as Group Financial Controller of Wellcome plc in 1993. Director of BHOEC since 2005 – Chairman 2006 to 2008. Local Councillor for Oxshott & Stoke D’Abernon since 1997. Cabinet member for Resources since 2006.Treasurer of Effingham & Leatherhead Rugby Football Club since 2005. Trustee of significant pension fund since 2008 – £7 billion of assets.
